ATSUSHI
The Heart of the Seven Pillars

The Seven Pillars of “ATSUSHI” are built to unite hearts and create spaces where smiles and hope can grow.

Through music, genuine human connection, and shared experiences, we seek to give children moments that light the path toward believing in their own future.

All is connected

Amusubi

+

“Thank you. I love you. A heart that cares for others. And wa — harmony.”

Amusubi is about tying people together and giving shape to those feelings.

An omusubi (rice ball) was originally something a mother would make for her child, something made for someone else.
You shape it with your own hands, and the people you care about eat it — that is why you “musubu,” or tie it, with consideration and kindness.

ATSUSHI brings specially selected bio-energy rice, and together with the children he makes not just onigiri, but omusubi — rice balls whose very name carries the idea of “connecting” (musubi).

Inside each one is the feeling of “thank you,” “I love you,” a heart that thinks of others, and the spirit of wa — harmony — held as something truly precious.

By making omusubi together, we nurture a heart that “ties” — for ourselves and for someone else — while cherishing kindness, harmony, and getting along with one another.

This is the “Amusubi Project”: a project that connects ATSUSHI and the children.

Truth in smile

Smile Mirror

A special mirror engraved with the words “smile today?” using a unique laser process.
As children gaze into this mirror, they come face to face with their own smile.

What they see reflected there is not a smile put on for someone else,
but the warm light that resides within their “true self.”

There are sad days, painful days, days when it feels hard to smile at all.
Even so, in front of this mirror, they can be reminded of that inner light once more.
“Smiling means that hope exists right here, in this moment.”
It is this small realization that we wish to bring to the hearts of children.

This is the “Smile Mirror Project” – an initiative to gently awaken the light that shines within.

Shine of hope

The Red Piano of Hope

+

With the support of CASIO, a bright red piano has been donated.
Red is the color of passion, vitality, and hope.

Its vivid presence lights a “will to live” and “the courage to dream” in the hearts of children.

Simply by being there, this piano carries a quiet promise:
“Maybe ATSUSHI will come back here to sing again someday.”

Holding that hope in his own heart, ATSUSHI continues to return to these places.

Every time its sound resonates, hearts are joined, no matter the distance.
Each note gently carries a message of kindness toward the future.

This is the “Red Piano of Hope Project” – a project that connects ATSUSHI and the children through music.

Unity in promise

Promise Jewelry

Created in collaboration with MAXI, these bracelets are gifted together with a moment of quiet meditation.

Each piece of jewelry carries a gentle promise from ATSUSHI: “Let’s be happy.”

One by one, the bracelets are imbued with the power to help the wearer remember their “heart that believes in happiness.”

Tied around the wrist, the bracelet becomes a wish:
“To never forget the courage to believe in happiness.”

In time, that circle of intention leaves a small light of hope within each child’s heart, gradually transforming into the strength to believe in their own future.

This is the “Promise Jewelry Project” – a project that connects prayers for the future, one bracelet at a time.

Infinity of love

Brooch of Love

+

Crafted with Swarovski crystals, the “Love Brooch” carries the hope that souls will be gently healed, and that the bond between ATSUSHI and the children will continue on, heart to heart, far into the future.

When they turn 18 to 20, the children leave the care homes and begin walking into society on their own. Many are also reaching their coming-of-age, a major milestone in life.

This brooch is meant to quietly stand by them at that important first step, adding a touch of warmth and pride—even to the simplest of suits—and softly transforming it into something special.

Because it is a magnetic brooch, it can be worn on a bag, placed on a refrigerator, or attached anywhere in a room. Each time it catches their eye, ATSUSHI hopes it will gently remind them:

“I was surrounded by love.”

This quiet message—“Our love for you continues, always”—is a way to support the hearts of those leaving the facilities and to stay close to them as they move toward the future.

This is the “Love Brooch Project.”
